Being Present

“Yoga is the willingness to be present.”


You can practice yoga all day, not just on the mat.
How? When you are truly present, you are practicing yoga.
Throughout the day, repeat this Mantra: “Right here, right now.” Another option: “You are here.”
It’s easy to let time overwhelm you and to run your body on autopilot. Whenever you can remember to, pause for a moment, align your posture, take some deep breaths, and repeat the mantra. Taking a short minute or two to practice yoga off the mat in this way a few times a day can have wonderful benefits for you mental, emotional and physical health.
