The Ashtanga Primary Series, as taught by Sri K Pattabhi Jois of Mysore, India, is known for being vigorous and energetic. This form of inter-linking yoga postures is accompanied by deep breathing and focus, creating a purifying internal heat and calming the mind. During this weekly led class, the students are guided in unison through the postures of the Primary Series sequence, and provided with options of how to do particular poses that may prove challenging.
