This class introduces the most popular style of Tai chi, the Yang style, in short form. Learn to perform a series of postures (24 movements) in a flowing form consisting of slow, continuous, and circular movements in coordination with the breath. Sometimes referred to as moving meditation, Tai Chi is a mind-body practice with many potential health benefits including better balance, strength, blood pressure scores, focus and concentration, energy cultivation, and relaxation. Studies have shown it can also help lower rates of insomnia, depression, illness and inflammation. Patience, dedication, and a “beginner’s mind” are required to learn the form and reap its benefits.
Tai Chi is only offered at our South location. Check out our schedule for the most up to date information.
