Yelapa Yoga Retreat 2018 with Diane Butera and Julia Siporin

SatDate: 1/13/2018 – 1/20/2018From: Time TBD
Align with Nature and the Peace Within

Enjoy yoga in a peaceful tropical setting off the beaten path. Practice daily yoga, pranayama and meditation in a low key, natural setting to nurture a deeper sense of well-being. Alignment Yoga, the chakra system and meditation will help you tap into the abundance that is the very source of life… an amazing way to start your new year and shake off the winter blues!Yelapa is a small Mexican fishing village located on a sleepy little bay just south of Puerto Vallarta. As there are no roads to Yelapa (one of the things you will love most about the town), you will take a 45 minute boat ride from Puerto Vallarta to the village. No cars in Yelapa means less noise, less pollution and less stress. Spend a delightful week immersed in nature and the culture of Mexico. Temperatures in January are 75 – 80 degrees in the day and an easy 60-65 at night. The food is fresh and delicious, including local fish, chicken, enchiladas, tortillas, beans, avocado, pies, and fruit. Opportunities abound for inner and outer exploration!Let your journey into 2018 begin in retreat where our on-site host, Judith, keeper of the Sky Temple, has considered every imaginable detail with your comfort and enjoyment in mind. This is an all levels yoga experience; you will hike up a meandering tropical path to the open-air yoga studio overlooking a most remarkable and memorable expanse. Give yourself as much time to enjoy yoga, meditation, breath work, journaling, healing, hiking, birding, beach-time, down-time and sunshine. Diane Butera and Julia Siporin offer body friendly, breath-connected, meditative yoga accessible to everyone.Join Eugene Yoga instructors Diane Butera, and Julia Siporin, for a week of camaraderie and a cultural experience. Let the simplicity (no cars or TV) of this Mexican village, the beauty of a beach side setting, and the wisdom of yoga inspire you and nourish you. This is a traveler’s not tourist’s experience. Be ready for an adventure. These teachings will unite body, mind and spirit!Yelapa, reached only by boat, takes people back in time enhancing the feeling of “getting away from it all” and invites participants to remember the simple life. The Sky Temple offers a sacred space deeply connected to nature for yogi’s to enjoy. Find a sense of grounding in this other cultural world steeped in nature.Enjoy beautiful views of both the ocean and the jungle from the venue each day. The mountainside setting holds both expansive views with the wonderful sounds of the constant lap of the ocean and the sights and songs of tropical birds enjoying the trees surrounding the studio.
Yogis here are welcomed with smiles and have fun exchanging friendly greetings of “Hola” on the path. Over the years, the visiting yogis have become appreciated visitors in Yelapa. Our evenings will be spent enjoying the best village hot spots for dining. A native village family, right in the center of the village, invites the whole group to a Taco Buffet Dinner with music and hot tortillas fresh off the fire made by hand in their backyard.
Our week will take place in a Mexican village reached only by boat.
