Yachats Retreat- Tapas: Ignite the Flame Within with Jennifer Jamieson

Friday, June 2-Sunday, June 4

In yoga philosophy, the eternal flame that motivates us is called tapas. Tapas is one of the “niyamas”, or observances that enhances one’s progress on the yogic path. A Sanskrit concept, it literally means “fire” or “to burn.” It’s the inner fire that brings us to our yoga mat and the discipline and determination that drives us to pursue our goals and dreams. Tapas keeps us driven to do the important things in life.

On this retreat, we will practice self-nurturing discipline, (Tapas), self-study and self -empathy (Svadhyaya), surrender, self-forgiveness and freedom (Isvari-Pranidhana) to help find deep contentment, peace and joy.

Come explore these concepts through yoga asana, pranayama, meditation and dharma talks while enjoying your time on the Oregon coast in the sweet town of Yachats!
