Integral Yoga Teacher Training

Integral Yoga Teacher Training is a Vinyasa-focused curriculum grounded in the principles and practices of traditional yoga and informed by modern science, our understanding of human movement, and our experiences with mindbodyspirit.

Out of the pieces, we create the whole. Integral Yoga blends past with present, art with science, and form with function. Our approach is designed to help you develop the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully teach Vinyasa Flow classes while providing a strong understanding of other yoga forms. Our program is built on a foundation of study and practice in

  • understanding your “why”
  • meditation and mindfulness
  • breath and bandhas
  • functional human movement
  • leading, guiding and teaching asana
  • ayurvedic health
  • the subtle body
  • yogic history and philosophy

Building on that foundation, we will also explore

  • Considerations for pre- and post-natal participants
  • Classic Hatha Yoga
  • The Primary Series of Pattabi Jois’ Ashtanga
  • Hands-on adjustments
  • Gentle and Restorative Yoga
  • Using class themes effectively
  • Sanskrit and Chanting
  • Yoga Nidra

This course is suitable for those wishing to deepen their personal practice, those aspiring to become yoga teachers, and those unsure of their yoga path. Prepare to be inspired, challenged and safely held as we work our way through 11 weeks of semi-immersion Integral Yoga.

Shanti Walling

Shanti began her career as a yoga educator in 2007. She is a 500 hour E-RYT and has spent the last ten years strongly committed to sharing her understanding and experience of yoga with many people. Shanti is dedicated to holding a space for people who are interested in exploring their own unique expression of yoga. First and foremost, she is devoted to supporting every student she works with in creating a wholesome sustainable practice. Physically, Shanti strives to create sequences that support the development of both strength and flexibility. Mentally, she she is inspired to weave the dynamic breath practices that are fundamental in yoga to develop the ability to focus and calm the mind. Emotionally, it is her highest hope that anyone whom she share with feels secure and confident in their personal practice.

Valerie Morris

Valerie’s interest in yoga began in 1994 while studying mind-body interactions during graduate school. Over the years she’s studied several yoga, meditation, and relaxation techniques in pursuit of a better understanding of how mind-body connections affect and enhance health. Always a lover of the outdoors, Valerie loves to surf, rock climb, hike and camp. In 2008 a surfing accident resulted in a severe nerve injury that set her on the journey to her current daily practice. Valerie aspires to inspire her students by offering a guided practice that challenges them to grow at their own pace, without judgment.

$200 non-refundable application feedue at time of application in order to be considered. If accepted, a $300 deposit must be made within a week of receiving the decision to hold your place. Tuition must be paid in full before the program begins. Both the application fee and deposit will be applied to your tuition.
