Eugene Yoga 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training

Expand your practice, learn to teach, dive into the lifestyle! This engaging and insightful program will help you understand how the human body-mind-heart complex works, and give you the confidence to apply that understanding to your personal practice and teaching. Our aims are two-fold: to encourage and expand your understanding of yoga, and to prepare you to step confidently into a studio ready to work and teach.

We will help you define and refine your personal relationship to the practice of yoga by understanding its history, philosophy and evolution primarily through the lens of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. We will explore modern interpretations of the Sutras and other ancient texts, and apply our understanding to the art and practice of teaching yoga.

We’ll also explore and experience asana, pranayama, meditation, functional anatomy and physiology, teaching strategies and techniques, sequencing, cueing, offering assists, personal and professional ethics, and the business of yoga. You’ll be exposed to our day to day operations, so that you gain an understanding of how studios operate. While our focus is on Hatha, Vinyasa, Iyengar, Gentle, and Yoga Nidra, we will also introduce you to other yoga forms such as Yin, Restorative, Ashtanga, Kundalini, and Prenatal and Postpartum Yoga.
