Francie White

Francie White has a BA in letters, an MA and a Ph.D. in mathematicsfrom the University of Oklahoma. Living in her head took a toll on her body. She was diagnosed with arthritis in her lower spine when she was 42 years old and developed a debilitating pain in her neck when she was 52.

A Feldenkrais practitioner helped her to refocus her attention on her body sensations and find the places in her body that were not moving well. She began training in the Feldenkrais Method® in 2015 and graduated in 2018. Her arthritis was cured after her first year of training and the pain in her neck is also long gone.

Awareness Through Movement: Rocking your roller, Mondays 12-1 pm, January 23-February 27

6-week Feldenkrais series, Mondays, 12-1 pm, September 19 – October 24, offered in-person & on Zoom.

Awareness Through Movement® (ATM®) group classes lead the students through a series of simple movements, building to more complex movements that may not have been possible at the beginning of the lesson. These lessons provide the opportunity for students to attend to their own individual needs and build their own kinesthetic awareness that improves movement and reduces pain and discomfort.
