Yoga Indoors, Yoga Outdoors, Yoga Your Way!
Hello again, and welcome to summer!
It’s been such a joy to see so many of you returning to the studio to practice in-person with us. Thank you all so much for your grace and understanding about the governor’s requirement that we view proof of vaccination for those who wish to practice without a mask or social distancing. We only need to see your proof one time. Vaccination is not required to practice yoga, but please understand that we are bound by certain restrictions that only allow vaccinated individuals to remove their masks. Anyone who wants to practice with a mask on is welcome to do so, vaccinated or not.
We have some great events in the works, and we hope you’ll join us for an in-person class, an outdoor special event, or on zoom – and then, we hope that you’ll write a review on the social media platforms of your choice. Reviews are our #1 referral source and we appreciate you taking the time to help us reach old and new students.
Has it been a while since you’ve practiced with us? Please take our short Lapsed Students survey and help us plan for the future. Thank you!
However you practice and whatever your choices, thank you for your compassion and resilience. It’s the ultimate yoga: putting the skills we learn on the mat to use in our daily lives.
Love and gratitude,
Valerie

Why are you passionate about teaching yoga and what do you love about teaching at Eugene Yoga?
I am passionate about teaching yoga because I love humans! It’s an honor to support people in their self-discovery, in finding a gentle pathway into themselves. Holding a safe space, one that gives permission to explore what it feels like to be fully embodied is one of the best parts about being a teacher. To submerge in the joy of community while supporting a practice of radical self-acceptance, carried by the collective breath is completely awesome! (and important, scary, and beautiful!). I love that my “job” is to offer that point of reflection back to people’s own strength and capacity, especially in the aging body.
What I love about EY is its sparkly, long-standing community. I COME HERE FOR THE RAD HUMANS! I’m continually blown away by people‘s commitment to their practice and this supportive community. I feel complete freedom to show up as my authentic self and honor my calling to teach in the way that I feel called to teach. Thank you Valerie for the continued encouragement!

Why are you passionate about teaching yoga? What do you love about teaching at Eugene Yoga?
My passion is to provide yoga tools and the healing guided meditation of Yoga Nidra to help students experience more peace and joy in their lives. Gentle Yoga and Yoga Nidra have changed my life after a car accident 10 years ago. I am so much more calm and relaxed; I have more energy and joy in my life, and I sleep better. I want to share these tools to help others.
I love teaching at Eugene Yoga because of the sense of community and camaraderie among so many talented and compassionate teachers.
Virtual and In-Studio Practice Available
Most classes are offered in-person with a simultaneous live-stream that is recorded. Recordings are available for you to practice at your convenience.
Space in our studio is still limited, so we ask that you take care to sign up for an in-studio class only if you intend to practice in the studio. The words IN-STUDIO or VIRTUAL are included in each class title.
The In-Studio and Virtual schedules are on different pages of our website. Hover over ‘CLASSES’ on the navigation bar and click on whichever schedule is right for you. Thank you!
